GAL UC-II Cartilage Complex

The preparation contains both a special, non-denatured form of type II collagen and a partially hydrolysed form.

The product is uniquely effective in autoimmune processes, as well as in cases of damage or wear to the cartilage surface of the joints, incorrect movement (e.g. friction), or simply increased strain during intensive sporting activity.

The key ingredient in the GAL UC-II® Cartilage Complex is the raw material derived from raw chicken sternal cartilage, patented under the name UC-II®. Unlike other cartilage extracts or collagens, it contains type II collagens in a so-called undenatured (raw) form, and is stabilised to prevent denaturation or digestion in the digestive system. As a result, it is able to reach the lymphoid organs in our small intestine – the so-called Peyer’s patches – in its unaltered (raw) form. Consequently, via our lymphatic system, it is able to influence our immune function and thus halt the attack on our own cartilage tissues by preventing the production of antibodies against them. Such antibodies are not only produced in cases of autoimmune joint diseases (rheumatoid arthritis).
